Diaphragm Pacing a part of Ventilation Management for High Spinal Cord Injury

The American College of Surgeons have issued their guidelines for Spine Surgery in March 2022,

The guidelines recommends the consideration for Diaphragm pacing or the first time, with a recommendation to consider stimulation of the diaphragm in high SCI patients in order to plan long-term ventilator strategies and determine a patient’s potential to wean from the ventilator.
